MCE Academy

GHM were commissioned to act as Design Team Leaders for the provision of a Creative Media Centre and new community sports changing facilities at Manor Church of England Academy in York. The new Creative Media Centre is an exemplar Government funded project, to support new diploma learning, with state of the art spaces for creative media and performing arts. Located at the MCE Academy, the new building will be used by a number of schools and local community groups in the area. Forming part of the community provision, a new build changing facility has been funded by the City of York Council for use by the public, this will support both internal and external sports provision. Both buildings were designed and constructed to a BREEAM Very Good standard.
